Is it novelty, real-world impact, methodological rigor, or something harder to name?

We are running a short preference learning study to explore exactly that. Your input will help us better understand how researchers and curious minds evaluate and prioritize research directions.

What to Expect

Duration: 7–10 minutes

Format: A short background survey followed by pairwise comparisons of research project descriptions

Reward: At the end, you will receive your own personalized preference profile — a snapshot of what drives your research taste

The study starts with a brief survey asking about your professional background, primary field, experience with proposal evaluation, and how you personally weigh factors such as novelty, team diversity, or institutional prestige. This context helps us make the preference profiles more meaningful.

Why Participate?

Beyond contributing to ongoing research on preference modeling, you will walk away with a data-driven reflection on your own priorities.

👉 Take part here

All responses are anonymous. The background survey collects only general professional context (no identifying information) and your pairwise choices. We are grateful for every participant — the more responses we collect, the richer the insights we can generate.

Thank you for your time and curiosity!
